World Chess partners exclusively with the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and runs WorldChess.com, the only online chess platform where members in 160 countries can earn a FIDE-recognised rating. The company generates revenue from paid memberships, merchandise, live events and apps, reporting €1.1 million in revenue and a €2.1 million pre-tax loss for the six months ended 30 June 2025. During H1 2025 it consolidated all consumer offerings—digital play, events, apps and merchandise—under the single WorldChess.com brand and shut its Berlin club to focus on scalable digital growth. Recent product enhancements include gamification and anti-cheating features, a Stripe-powered player ID, and “The Tower” progression system secured on Algorand blockchain. The platform has surpassed one million registered users and plans to launch a new mobile app on 1 November 2025. Management believes the recent capital raises and a €6 million loan obtained in September 2024 provide sufficient runway for continued product development and international expansion. The global chess market, valued at US$2.5 billion in 2023, is projected to reach US$3.8 billion by 2032, offering a sizable tailwind for World Chess.
