Worldmodeldata aggregates and structures gameplay data from modern video games through licensing agreements with game developers and communities, including titles built on Unreal and Unity. The company is building a database of video game-generated datasets intended to train world models — AI systems that understand and predict how environments change over time. It positions its data as an alternative to web-scraped datasets and targets applications in robotics, physical AI systems and autonomous vehicles. The startup emerged from stealth in Cambridge with founder Rhea Loucas and has recruited Lord Richard Allan as chairman of its board. Financially, Worldmodeldata completed a £7M seed round led by Iona Star Capital and plans to use the funds for product development, team growth and further licensing deals. The firm aims to assemble one million hours of training data by the end of next year.
