WTH Foods develops plant-based versions of Filipino dishes using more than 60 types of plants across a menu of 60 dishes. The company is targeting the more than 2.2 million Filipinos living away from home. WTH has developed a new product line called Unami—plant-based versions of popular Asian processed meats such as sausages and luncheon meat—due for a 2022 launch. It also co-developed a seaweed-based chicken product with Singapore Institute of Technology food scientists. WTH announced the launch of an R&D facility and plans to expand to Singapore, other Southeast Asian markets, and globally. The company closed a $1.2M seed round to accelerate product development and market expansion.
