Wunsch Brautkleid operates a Berlin-based marketplace for new, used and customized wedding dresses. Founded in 2012 by Fabian Westerheide and Michael Heid, the site allows women to find their dress and sell it after the wedding. It features over 1,400 dresses from 120 designers, offering a mix of new, pre-owned and bespoke options. The company raised €158K in an equity crowdfunding campaign on Companisto, with 441 backers participating. Backers already included Lukasz Gadowski, Burckardt Bonello and Christian Gaiser. Wunsch Brautkleid plans to use the funds to expand its product offering and add accessories, introduce other verticals (photographers, venues, wedding planners) and prepare to expand abroad in 2014.
