Wynd
20 Rue Saint Georges, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75009, France
Overview
Wynd began as a point-of-sale solution for restaurants and brick-and-mortar stores and has expanded into a one-stop SaaS platform for managing offline and online sales. The service handles inventory, orders, payments and provides staff-facing instructions to prepare orders. Its system is omnichannel, unifying inventory across e-commerce sites and physical stores and allowing different delivery parameters for online versus offline sales. Wynd offers an API and integrates with third-party services such as ERPs, and can replace product information management tools. The platform also provides dynamic dashboards and detailed product and staff reports, positioning it as an alternative to static Excel exports. Large customers include Carrefour, Total, MK2 and Monceau Fleurs, and 30% of the company’s revenue comes from other countries. The company has raised $127 million in total to date. Wynd provides a modular software-as-a-service point-of-sale solution that can replace existing POS systems for restaurant and retail chains. The platform can manage part or all POS tasks, unify inventory across stores and websites, integrate with CRM systems, and support electronic wallets, coupons, and cashback. Wynd targets large chains rather than individual restaurants; notable clients include Carrefour, Galeries Lafayette, Quick, Sodexo, Eiffage, Total and Monceau Fleurs. The company bills €30–€300 per point of sale per month depending on setup and currently manages 5,000 points of sale. Wynd deliberately does not process payments itself, choosing to focus on POS functionality and integrate with payment providers. With the new funding, the company plans to hire and expand internationally, opening offices in the U.K. and Dubai. Wynd builds a modular software‑as‑a‑service platform that handles discovery, ordering, payment integrations and rewards for restaurants. Customers can adopt individual "bricks" (modules) incrementally—online ordering, cash registers, kiosks, kitchen screens—and those modules integrate to unify online and in‑store orders. Wynd integrates with payment service providers rather than processing payments itself, and can take a cut on transactions when restaurants use its cash register module. The company serves around 1,800 points of sale, with customers including Flunch, Elior, Nabab Kebab and Exki, primarily in France and with some presence in the Middle East and other European countries. Wynd charges an installation fee plus recurring subscription fees, giving it monthly recurring revenue. With new funding it plans to hire more staff, improve the product and accelerate opening points of sale, and it expects the platform could be adapted to other types of stores in the future.
