Wype, founded by husband-and-wife Giorgia Granata and Eli Khrapko, makes a refillable cleansing gel intended to turn toilet paper into a more soothing clean. The company has focused on building a new category in a taboo market with a small team and community-driven approach. Since appearing on BBC's Dragons' Den three years ago, Wype has grown revenue 15x and now runs at a £4.5m annualised run rate after £2.2m in sales in 2024. It recently closed an oversubscribed £1m equity round to accelerate growth. Investors in the round include lead investors Anotherway Ventures and Ventures Together, plus founders of established brands such as Heights and SURI and strong follow-on from existing angels. Management says the funding will help give the category more visibility, credibility and scale.
