Xceedium provides Zero Trust privileged identity and access management products (Xsuite) used by large enterprises and global government agencies to control and monitor privileged network access and meet security and compliance requirements. The company’s offerings secure privileged user and application-to-application passwords and include monitoring capabilities to help customers address standards such as PCI DSS, FISMA, NIST-800.53, HIPAA and NERC CIP. Xceedium’s products are FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and Common Criteria EAL4+ certified. The company announced a $12 million Series B financing extension to fuel continued growth and expansion, with specific emphasis on cloud-based initiatives. As part of that cloud push Xceedium launched Xsuite Cloud, a privileged identity and access management platform designed to protect organizations using Amazon Web Services alongside existing datacenter infrastructure. Management said the funding and new offering position Xceedium to capitalize on growing demand as customers adopt cloud and hybrid architectures. Xceedium develops GateKeeper, an appliance-based solution that secures and audits privileged access to IT infrastructure. The product is designed to let mid-sized enterprises and federal government agencies enforce access control on vendors, contractors and IT administrators whether inside or outside the network. GateKeeper contains users so they have access only to the resources they need and creates an audit trail to support compliance with HIPAA, PCI, FISMA and other regulations. The company said it will use the new capital to drive sales and marketing expansion and to accelerate ongoing development of GateKeeper. The announcement positions Xceedium to expand commercial and government deployments of its access-control appliance.
