Overview
Xenoma is a wearable electronics apparel company based in Tokyo, Japan and Worcester, Massachusetts. It leverages an e-skin product platform that combines traditional textile materials with stretchable electronics and printable sensors to create smart apparel. Xenoma's garments monitor users' motion, respiration, and body temperature, and are waterproof, machine washable, and designed for active daily use. The company says it will use newly raised funds to accelerate bringing e-skin products to market. In May 2016 Xenoma secured ¥185M ($1.7M) in funding led by Beyond Next Ventures with participation from the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). In March the company was awarded a ¥70M ($661k) grant from NEDO to advance system integration and end-user applications.
