Xentral

Fuggerstraße 11, Augsburg, Bayern, 86150, Germany

Overview

xentral offers an ERP platform for online SMBs that integrates with ecommerce channels and CRMs to centralize back-office workflows. The product hooks into Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Magento, WooCommerce and CRM systems like Pipedrive, and provides order and warehouse management, packaging, fulfillment, accounting and sales management. The company serves roughly 1,000 customers, the majority of which are in Germany, including brands such as YFood, KoRo, the Nu Company and Flyeralarm. xentral raised a $75M Series B and plans to use the proceeds to enhance product, hire staff and expand its U.K. operation as it targets a broader global ERP market. The company previously raised a $20M Series A earlier this year led by Sequoia Capital. The global ERP market is expected to reach $32 billion by 2023, which the company cites in support of its expansion strategy. Xentral builds cloud ERP software covering order and warehouse management, packaging, fulfillment, accounting and sales management for online-focused small and medium businesses. Its platform serves about 1,000 customers—mostly in Germany—including YFood, KoRo, the Nu Company and Flyeralarm, and the company has roughly 65 employees. The founders, Benedikt and Claudia Sauter, created the product out of internal tools used in their earlier hardware business and formally founded Xentral in 2018 in Augsburg. The company plans to expand across the rest of Europe and eventually other geographies while adding more services to its ERP platform. Planned product work includes a more powerful API to help customers integrate sales channels such as their own sites, Amazon, eBay and social platforms. Xentral positions itself as a lean, modular alternative to legacy ERP systems that SMEs can adopt gradually.
