Overview
Xentria is a biopharmaceutics company focused on developing novel therapeutics to address unmet clinical needs, with an emphasis on rare diseases, immunologic disorders and oncology. Its lead candidate, XTMAB-16, is a chimeric human-murine IgG1 anti-TNF monoclonal antibody being developed to disrupt an inflammatory pathway and potentially slow or stop granuloma formation in sarcoidosis patients. XTMAB-16 completed a Phase 1 study characterizing pharmacokinetics and safety in healthy volunteers, and in vitro data showed dose-dependent suppression of granuloma formation. The company announced a $25 million growth equity financing to advance the pipeline, strengthen scientific and technical leadership, and drive clinical development. Funds will support next-stage clinical development, including a global sarcoidosis trial expected to initiate in early 2023. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Chicago, Xentria works with partners in Israel and China as it expands its development efforts.
