Xeol is a NYC-based cybersecurity company that secures software throughout the lifecycle, from code repositories through delivery to customers. Led by CEO ShiHan Wan, the team focuses on identifying and managing end-of-life software whose publishers no longer provide security patches. Attackers often gain access via phishing and then exploit unpatched, end-of-life components; PCI 4.0 will mandate end-of-life software management, increasing demand for such solutions. Since launching four months ago, Xeol has signed its first Fortune 500 customer. For that customer the team identified more than 2,000 end-of-life software components and reduced the company’s exposure by 60%. Xeol raised $3.2M in Seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to expand operations and development efforts.
