XPANCEO develops ultra-thin, multifunctional smart contact lenses that combine nanophotonics, biosensing, AI and extended reality to project AR directly onto the retina. Its lenses feature ultra-miniature microdisplays with a 30° field of view and consume just 1–3 µW of power. Models include continuous health monitoring (non-invasive IOP tracking with ~50% greater precision), tear-fluid biochemical sensors for biomarkers like glucose and cortisol, night vision, color correction, optical zoom, and the ability to share third‑party views. The system uses a compact companion device for wireless charging and external data processing; radiation levels are reported as comparable to standard headphones. XPANCEO has produced 15 working prototypes and contributed to 110 scientific publications while pursuing regulatory preparation and pilot testing. The company targets healthcare, defense, industrial AR and consumer markets and aims to replace multiple personal devices with a single wearable interface.
