YAAR
Heemstede, Noord-Holland, The Netherlands
Overview
Yaar is an AI-powered chat app that aggregates users' messages from platforms like email, Slack and LinkedIn into a single interface and offers actionable options. Its patent-pending AI model, Webagent, translates written language into digital actions such as clicking, scrolling and typing to schedule meetings, order food, summon rideshares and search the internet. The app is primarily aimed at employees in sales and operations and is positioned as a "companion" to make computers perform tasks via natural language. Yaar's beta involved 50 sales and operations workers who, according to the company, have saved an average of six hours and seven minutes per month using its automations. Founders Karan Walia, Anton Mamonov and Sobi Walia launched the product after previously building ad-tech firm Cluep, which was acquired in 2018 for $40 million. The company has secured $20 million in funding, though its valuation, projected revenue and founders' equity stakes were not disclosed.
