Overview
YallaXash is a remittance-focused fintech that enables senders to top up an app account and transfer money to recipients via cash, mobile wallet, or bank transfer. The app is free on Android and iOS; withdrawal fees start from $0.99 and cash/mobile wallet payouts are available in about 30 seconds, with bank transfers delivered within 48 hours. The company has built a multi-channel network of more than 12,000 physical points through partners (Chaabi Cash, Barid Cash, Damane Cash and Proxicash/Atlantique Cash), plus partner bank branches and the Chaabi Pay wallet. YallaXash expanded its corridor coverage to Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal through partner ATPS (Proximo and Atlantique Cash), which has over 10,000 distribution points in West Africa, and plans to integrate ATPS’s Niger and Mali networks. The expansion allows customers in North America to send funds to West Africa in addition to Morocco, which YallaXash has served since 2019. MNF II has provided funding to support this growth, including earlier and follow-on investments. Yalla Xash provides a mobile-first remittance solution that connects senders in the diaspora with recipients in Morocco. Founded in 2017 by Emir Lallouche and Cedric Tamavond, the company operates offices in Morocco, Canada, and the United States. Its app handles the full sender experience and removes multiple middlemen, and its services are offered as App to Cash, App to Prepaid Card, and App to Bank Account. Today Yalla Xash operates along the North America–Morocco corridor and aims to add additional corridors in the coming months. The company emphasizes low-cost, faster transfers and positions its product as having significant societal impact for international residents supporting families back home. Yalla Xash recently raised capital to fund expansion beyond its current corridor.
