Yetitablet
Nihtisillantie 3, Espoo, 02630, Finland
Overview
Yetitablet produces giant touchscreen tablet computers sold in sizes from 27" to 98" with 4K resolution and options to run Android, Windows, or both. Devices can be wall- or desk-mounted and offer water-, dust-, and shock-proof casings tailored to education, team collaboration, hospitality, care institutions, construction, and retail. The product was developed by founders Maria and Jarkko Jokelainen, who launched the company in 2015 to help their children with Asperger’s communicate; the founders report early educational impact including a recent visit to Jordanian schools. The company has run pilot projects in Finland, Germany, and Japan and is targeting broader adoption across Nordic markets. Yetitablet expected to reach €2 million in revenue by the end of 2018 and the founders have previously bootstrapped the business to financial stability. The team positions the product as a scalable hardware offering for multiple sectors beyond its initial education focus.
