毅镤科技 develops a new generation of alkaline electrolyzers and composite control technologies aimed at lowering manufacturing, transport, installation and maintenance costs for electrolysis-based hydrogen production. The company combines alkaline and PEM characteristics via its composite control technology to enable fast dynamic response and wide power-range operation. A 60-standard-m3/hour prototype has completed assembly and testing, a 200-standard-m3/hour unit is in design confirmation with assembly planned, and 500/1,000/2,000-standard-m3/hour products are planned for later stages. The firm also works on new alkaline catalysts and has an active R&D collaboration with a French materials company under an exclusive joint development agreement. Operational deployments include a 2022 industrial composite electrolyzer installation at Baowu Group’s Shaoguan plant (running for two years) and multiple domestic projects across Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and Sichuan; the company also signed a 5MW EPC contract in eastern France and has an Amsterdam holding subsidiary for overseas business. Financially, the company completed a tens-of-millions-of-yuan A round from Zhineng Capital and has opened a new financing round; funds from the A round were earmarked for R&D, market expansion and talent recruitment. Yipu Tech develops hydrogen energy systems, including hydrogen production control systems and corresponding modular equipment integration, and also undertakes small- and mid-sized renewable projects such as photovoltaic and wind installations. The company says it will use newly raised funds to increase R&D investment and to improve and optimize its hydrogen production control systems. Yipu Tech was founded in April 2020 and is led by CEO Luo Jian, who previously held senior roles at an overseas energy and environmental company.
