Yo! Egg is an Israel-based foodtech startup that makes plant-based whole-egg alternatives, specifically sunny-side-up and poached eggs with an egg white and running yolk. The product targets the full “whole egg” experience rather than powdered or liquid formats. The company has been on the market in Israel since December, appearing in a breakfast chain and reaching major tech cafeterias (Google, Facebook), hotels and other food-service customers. Founded in 2019 by Eran Groner with co-founders Yosefa and Nisim Ben Cohen, the team has grown from three to ten full-time employees. Development is largely complete; current production is about 6,000 eggs per day and Yo! Egg is engineering equipment to reach roughly 50,000 eggs per day. The company plans a U.S. restaurant rollout starting with a debut at the National Restaurant Association trade show and aims for Los Angeles menus by year-end while expanding into hard‑boiled, scrambled and baking solutions.
