Yobe commercializes MIT research to solve the "cocktail party" problem by pinpointing and enhancing a particular speaker amid background noise. Its technology uses biometric markers to identify a target voice, aggressively boosts volume, and applies AI to smooth the result. The company plans to license the technology to chip and phone manufacturers and other partners, with an initial go-to-market focus on voice-driven devices. Yobe says the research phase is complete and the recent capital is intended to streamline and optimize the technology for deployment rather than continue R&D. The company expects to have a product to sell within 30 days and reports that potential partners are lined up for live demos. Founders include CEO Ken Sutton and Chief Scientist Dr. S.
