Yomoni is a French fintech robo-advisor that automatically manages portfolios, buying and selling stocks, bonds and other assets for users. The company charges fees of around 1.6% per year and reported portfolio returns in 2016 between 2.3% and 7.1% (net of fees). As of the article it has roughly 2,000 clients and €12 million ($12.9M) under management, averaging about €6,000 per client. The raise will fund hiring and new product features, including a product targeted at parents saving for their children and a potential mobile app. Management is buying back some shares and retaining a significant stake in the business. Yomoni has set a target to manage €1 billion by 2020 and may pursue European expansion to reach that goal.
