Yomp is a London-based health and wellness platform (formerly PleaseCycle) that uses a gamified mobile app to encourage physical activity among company employees. The app logs trips, tracks stats, lets users form teams, set goals and earn points that can be redeemed for online discounts, prizes, or donated to charity. Customers signed up include Dentsu Aegis Media (deployed in nine countries), Bloomberg and EDF Energy. The company says the platform helps increase productivity and reduce absenteeism. Yomp has built to date on a shoestring and retained profits, and the team intends to use new capital to drive the business forward and expand the product.
