You2Yourself (Y2Y) is an Enschede-based health-tech startup creating Urimon, a personal disease-warning system that analyzes changes in microRNA biomarkers found in urine. By regularly collecting and testing urine samples, Urimon aims to flag organ damage related to cancers and cardiovascular conditions long before clinical symptoms arise, enabling earlier treatment and lower healthcare costs. Since 2019 the company has assembled a biobank containing urine samples from more than 5,000 study participants, giving it a substantial data foundation for algorithm development. Y2Y plans to prove within four years that its test can detect nine common diseases at an early stage. The current focus is on validating the underlying algorithm with study samples and optimizing the technology for certified laboratory scaling. Longer term, Y2Y intends to commercialize a first market-ready version of the Urimon test. No revenue or user numbers have been disclosed to date.
