YourBusinessNumber provides a unique ID service that links a small business owner’s personal number to a WhatsApp Business (WAB) number so they can run WAB from their own phone. The product strips out data, minutes, texts and VOIP and supplies only the UID, while enabling receipt of OTP/SMS and calls and offering a Team solution so employees can handle WAB messages without revealing personal numbers. The service is priced at £4.99 per month and the company claims 30% month-on-month growth. It has developed internal tools to verify UIDs with WhatsApp Business and can break the connection if a business lapses payment or breaches WhatsApp’s terms to deter spammers and non-payers. YourBusinessNumber launched a Google Play Store app, is live in the UK and USA and is selling into 50+ countries, with plans to expand into Brazil, India, the Philippines and Germany. The startup was launched in June 2021 and is targeting sectors such as estate agents, recruitment and hospitality.
