YouScribe is a French provider of a digital platform for publishing, sharing and selling written documents of all kinds. Founded in January 2011 by Juan Pirlot de Corbion, the company operates a community platform and has developed tailor-made solutions for the press and publishing business as well as for individuals, professionals and independent authors. It operates a catalogue of nearly 2 million documents in French, German and Spanish. YouScribe raised €2m in funding and plans to use the capital to grow, in particular abroad. The company aims to build up a catalogue of over several dozens of millions of documents by 2016. Backers include Iris Capital, private investors Philippe Oddo and Bruno Emsens, and existing investors TDH (Thierry Dassault), Habert Dassault Finances (Benoit Habert), the Gilberte Beaux family and Clarisse (Henri & François de Maublanc).
