Yroo provides a search engine for shoppers to discover, research and buy from a large aggregated collection of products, stores and promotions. Users can shop more than 100 million items from over 7,000 merchants in one place. The company is actively transacting in over 35 countries across North and South America, Europe and Asia, with seven market-specific catalogs and eight supported languages. Yroo secured $11m in seed funding and will use the proceeds to invest in customer acquisition and retention and to develop its intelligent shopping search tool. In conjunction with the funding, Margaret Nelligan (partner, Aird & Berlis LLP) and Nick Zhu (CTO) joined Yroo’s board; James Cunningham is CEO.
