Zaraz
250 Post St, San Francisco, CA, 94108, United States
Overview
Zaraz is a platform that identifies third-party tools on a website and executes or proxies them via a server-side API so browsers do not need to download and run those scripts. The product supports cloud-loading, cloud-rendering, hybrid loading, and selective load rules to preserve functionality for analytics, ads, video players, and chat widgets. The company says this approach can make websites up to 40% faster and has built a performance analyzer to measure third-party impact; it also created a bot that scanned the top 5,000 U.S. sites to quantify third-party overhead. Zaraz is built on serverless architecture and operates as a pipeline that does not persist customer data (customers can route data to on-premise storage if desired). The company launched publicly after an extended beta and is adopting a freemium model (free for sites under 500,000 monthly page views; $950/month for up to 2 million page views) plus enterprise plans with custom pricing, SSO, and on-prem retention. Zaraz was founded out of San Francisco in 2019 and currently has five employees distributed across Stockholm, Lisbon, Brussels, Chicago, and Bucharest. With its recent seed funding the company plans to grow its distributed development team across Europe.
