ZAX's platform unites freight, delivery and payments tools to connect sellers and buyers in Brazil. Originally launched as a clothing wholesale marketplace, it has expanded to shoes, electronics, toys, accessories and beauty, letting buyers select products, shipping methods and payment options on the platform. The company works with over 700 suppliers, serves more than 50,000 buyers and has a team of 65 employees. Since March 2020 its revenue has grown tenfold. ZAX estimates an addressable B2B transaction market in Brazil of BRL 2.4 trillion (about $445.6 billion) and is developing financial services including buy-now-pay-later pilots, integrated working-capital partners, a 30-day line of capital and a point-of-sale system, with a digital wallet planned. The new funding will be used to expand into two more regions in Brazil, broaden product lines in beauty and accessories, and hire additional technology and product development staff.
