Zebra Medical Vision

Shefayim Commercial Center, Shefayim, Central District, 6099000, Israel

Overview

Zebra Medical Vision develops AI and deep‑learning algorithms to assist radiologists in analyzing medical images across lung, breast, liver, cardiovascular and bone diseases. Its commercial offering includes an AI1 bundle of algorithms that the company sells to hospitals for $1 per scan. Zebra recently announced Textray, a chest X‑ray research initiative trained on almost two million images to identify 40 clinical findings, and plans to use it to launch a chest X‑ray product next year. The company emphasizes a holistic product approach—integrating algorithms into workflow, adapting to different countries and healthcare environments, and handling support and regulation. Founder and CEO Elad Benjamin launched Zebra with Eyal Toledano and Eyal Gura in 2014. Zebra has raised a total of $50 million to date and will use new capital to hire staff to accelerate development of its analytics engine and go‑to‑market efforts. Zebra Medical Vision builds a big‑data imaging analytics platform that teaches computers to automatically read and diagnose medical imaging data. Its analytics engine has digested millions of imaging records and produced algorithms validated on hundreds of thousands of cases across bone health, cardiovascular analysis, liver and lung indications. The platform offers a research environment with development, hosting, storage, computing, regulatory and commercialization services for healthcare institutions and researchers. A strategic partnership with Dell Services (which provides cloud imaging storage to over 1,100 providers) supports go‑to‑market and deployment. The company says its algorithms can provide health and risk management insights to patients and providers to enable improved, preventative care pathways. The recent financing is intended to accelerate creation and clinical deployment of additional imaging algorithms in collaboration with InterMountain Healthcare. Zebra Medical Vision is a provider of a medical imaging research platform based in Kibutz Shfayim, Israel, founded in 2014 by Eyal Toledano, Eyal Gura and Elad Benjamin. Its core product is a cloud-based, fully hosted research and development environment that provides access to large datasets of structured, de-identified studies, storage, GPU computing power and support for a multitude of research tools. The platform enables research groups to collaborate and create joint tools. The company raised $8M in funding in a round led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from DeepFork Capital and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff. The platform was initially being launched to select research groups.
