ZeeMee provides a mobile and web platform for students to upload photos, videos and text that highlight extracurriculars, talents and biographies beyond essays and test scores. The product targets students as early as eighth grade and aims to help colleges take a more holistic admissions approach. The company has partnered with schools including Elon University, Texas Christian University and Southern Methodist University, and its profiles can be posted on the Common Application for the Class of 2020. ZeeMee plans to keep admissions services free while later offering paid career and alumni services. The company said it will use the new funding to hire staff, scale the platform and launch a mobile app in the coming weeks. ZeeMee was cofounded by Adam Metcalf and Juan Jaysingh, who describe the mission as helping students get seen.
