ZenDeals builds a scalable platform that aggregates online coupon codes from dozens of eCommerce sites and algorithmically verifies them so users only see working coupons. The company spent 18 months developing patent-pending technology that combines cloud computing and machine learning to test coupons multiple times per day and keep data fresh. Since beginning beta testing earlier this year it has validated over five million coupons and codes, is testing several thousand each day, and claims to verify over 200K coupons and deals each day. ZenDeals is driving thousands of weekly transactions to retailers and plans to monetize by taking a percentage commission on each redeemed verified coupon. At launch the product supports multiple languages (including Chinese, Italian and Portuguese) to serve users outside the U.S. The team intends to use outside capital to continue building its engineering and product teams and scale validation across retailers and countries.
