Overview
ZenML is an extensible open-source Machine Learning Operations framework designed to enable collaboration between data scientists, ML engineers, and MLOps developers to create portable, production-ready pipelines. Founded in 2021 by Adam Probst and Hamza Tahir and based in Munich, the framework is cloud- and tool-agnostic and provides interfaces and abstractions tailored to ML workflows. It consolidates diverse tools into a unified platform, allowing users to customize workflows to specific requirements. The company says it has seen exponential growth in usage and was named one of Germany’s 20 most promising AI startups. ZenML will use the new funding to propel its platform forward and launch ZenML Cloud, a managed service that preserves the open-source foundation while adding enterprise features. ZenML Cloud will include Single Sign-on, Role-Based Access Control, and CI/CD integrations, and the company is working on major updates to how models and data are handled across the full ML lifecycle. ZenML builds an extensible, open-source MLOps framework designed to create production-ready machine learning pipelines. Its core product is a lightweight Python library that lets data scientists express ML workflows as pipelines. The framework features a flexible syntax, is cloud- and tooling-agnostic, and provides interfaces and abstractions tailored to ML workflows. The company raised $2.7M in seed funding and plans to use the proceeds to build out its tooling suite in the open and expand its team of ML technologists. ZenML was co-founded by Adam Probst and Hamza Tahir.
