Zenprise develops mobile device management solutions for enterprises, including a recently launched product to lockdown iPhones and iPads with plans to extend to Android. The company announced $30 million in new financing to support growth and accelerate product development, sales, and marketing. Asheem Chandna of Greylock Partners joined Zenprise’s board as part of the financing announcement. The funding round was led by Silicon Valley–based Greylock Partners with participation from all existing investors. Zenprise has expanded its U.S. headquarters with a new 24,000 square foot facility in Redwood City, CA, opened a European HQ in Paris, and established multiple sales offices across the U.S. and Europe. The company has received industry recognition, including being named a “visionary” in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and receiving awards from HP and TiE Global. Zenprise is a Fremont, CA-based provider of enterprise mobile management and device management software. Its platform supports smartphone platforms including BlackBerry, iPhone, Palm, Windows Mobile and Android. The software automates monitoring, troubleshooting, expense management, device management, security and compliance for enterprise customers. Named customers in the article include Comcast, Boeing Corporation, Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP, Varian Medical Systems and Vodafone. The company closed a $9M financing to support continued expansion of sales and marketing and to fund research and development. In conjunction with the financing, a partner from the lead investor joined Zenprise’s board of directors.
