ZenScreen builds mobile apps and a Chrome extension designed to reduce social media addiction and overall screen time by managing which apps can be used and when. The product includes features such as an AppKins Digital Health Pyramid, Smart Mornings (timed access to social vs. work apps), Quiet Time, and personal app-usage analytics. Adults can control their own usage and also set controls for kids. The company says it identifies foreground app usage using a unique VPN that runs on the device so sensitive data never reaches its servers. ZenScreen launched iOS and Android apps last month alongside the Chrome extension. It offers basic analytics and Quiet Time for free and charges $4.99 per month for full access.
