Zentalis focuses on developing clinically differentiated, novel small-molecule cancer therapeutics, with oral delivery and programs intended for use as monotherapy or in combination. Its lead candidate, ZN-c5, is an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) in Phase 1/2 trials for ER+/HER2- breast cancer and is being evaluated in combination with Pfizer’s Ibrance® under a clinical collaboration. ZN-c3, a next-generation DNA damage response candidate targeting WEE1 kinase, is currently in Phase 1 testing, and the company has additional pipeline compounds directed at other fundamental cancer pathways. The company plans to use new financing to advance lead candidates toward pivotal trials, broaden ongoing clinical programs, and expand its team. Zentalis reported it has raised $147 million in gross proceeds from private financings since its founding in December 2014 and has offices in New York and San Diego.
