Zero Edge
Overview
Zero Edge was founded in March 2024 by Richard Kim, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Galaxy Digital. The company pitched a blockchain casino starting with craps and roulette but never launched a product. It raised $4.3 million in a June 2024 seed round before significant portions of the capital were moved into personal accounts and spent. Reports indicate $3.8 million was transferred out within six days, with roughly $1 million sent to the crypto casino Shuffle, and Kim later admitted losing $3.67 million. After these transfers Galaxy Digital reported him to authorities, and the DOJ and SEC filed charges; the FBI arrested Kim. As a result, Zero Edge has no launched product and its funded capital was largely depleted.
