Overview
ZeroQs develops smart shopping carts equipped with a weighing system, barcode reader and touchscreen that let customers scan items and leave the store while charges are automatically applied. Its advanced weighing and visual systems verify products to reduce theft, fraud and customer mistakes, and onboard screens display personalised product recommendations. ZeroQs carts are already operating in stores of chains such as Społem and Detal Centrum. The company moved from research and development into commercialization after cooperating with partners including EY and Microsoft, according to CEO Jarosław Kaczmarczyk. ZeroQs raised €457,000 in a follow-on financing that brings total funding to €757,000. The funds will be used to continue product development, strengthen its position in the domestic Polish market and pursue international expansion.
