ZeroRPM

5380 AL HWY 69 S, Cullman, Alabama, 35057, United States

Overview

ZeroRPM develops an idle-mitigation system (IMS) aimed at reducing fuel use and CO2 emissions for vehicles that experience significant idling, such as police cars. The IMS is in its third generation of development and is currently being tested with the Alabama State Troopers, Hoover Police and Cullman Police departments. The company says the unit could save police departments thousands of dollars per vehicle annually and reduce tons of CO2 emissions for each equipped vehicle. ZeroRPM was launched in Cullman with support from Wallace State Community College’s WSCC Appalachian Regional Center for Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy Technologies and received public backing from Alabama Governor Robert Bentley. Co-founders are Tod Bennett and Lance Self, with Lance Self listed as CEO and contact for the company. The company recently received outside financial support from a local bank investment.
