ZeroWall is operating in stealth and says it is taking a “different, holistic approach to information security,” aiming to rethink how chief information security officers secure their companies. The company is initially targeting small and medium-sized tech and tech-enabled businesses. Joan Pepin founded ZeroWall after leaving her role as chief security officer at Auth0; she previously served as vice president of operations at Auth0 and as a business information security officer at Nike and Sumo Logic. Pepin is the sole employee for now but plans to hire with the fresh funding. The company is based in Portland, Ore., describes itself as remote-first, and is hiring everywhere. ZeroWall raised a $2 million seed round, which constitutes its current disclosed financing.
