Zerynth builds an out-of-the-box IIoT operating system that integrates sensing processes for production monitoring, energy profiling, maintenance and asset tracking, and can be retrofitted to legacy hardware. The platform targets smart factories and supply chains seeking edge and cloud-integrated analytics. Zerynth plans to launch new features that merge IIoT and artificial intelligence and to pursue partnership deals with major industrial players. The €5.3 million raise will fund recruitment, product development and partnership expansion. The financing brings lifetime funding to €7.3 million, following a €2 million injection two years earlier. Founded in 2015 as a spin-off from research at the University of Pisa and based in Italy, the company is positioning itself amid accelerating digital transformation of manufacturing.
