Zesty is a U.K.-based healthcare appointment booking platform that integrates with providers' practice management software via APIs and offers B2B tools for smaller practices. The startup beta launched in London in May 2013, initially focusing on private and NHS dental services before expanding into other healthcare verticals including private GPs, physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, podiatry, sports massage, facial cosmetics and sexual health. Its platform can integrate with existing practice systems and also get practices using Google Calendar, Outlook or paper set up for online booking. Zesty is live in 15+ U.K. towns and cities, has 3,500+ healthcare professionals signed up (up from 2,000+ in April 2014) and about 40,000 users book appointments via the service each month. The company aims to cover all main U.K. towns and cities by the end of the year and plans to launch in major European cities within the next 18 months, targeting markets such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Austria and Switzerland. Zesty is an online healthcare booking service that allows users to search dentists, physicians and therapists by location, read ratings and reviews, choose available appointments and book online. The service launched as a beta in May 2013 and is led by co-founder Lloyd Price. The company previously raised a seed round in January 2013 and has now secured additional capital. Zesty intends to use the new funding to diversify away from dentistry into other healthcare verticals. Planned expansions include physiotherapy, osteopathy, private general practice, facial rejuvenation and dermatology, driven by high public demand. The company has also added Pam Garside as a board advisor, Carl Oliver as UK sales director and Warren Guy as head of product.
