Zing Data builds a mobile and web application that lets nontechnical business users access, manipulate and share data without needing SQL or expensive BI licenses. The product connects to Snowflake, Trino, Google BigQuery, Google Sheets, Postgres and MySQL and lets users choose datasets, display fields, manipulate views and share charts. It includes collaboration features with notifications in Slack, email and in‑app comments, and is available on iOS, Android and web. The company offers a free tier for up to 10 employees and charges for larger teams. Co‑founders Zack Hendlin (CEO) and Sabin Thomas (head of engineering) launched the company last year and currently employ three people while hiring for four roles. Zing raised a $2.4 million seed to continue building the product and believes its solution could see adoption if companies rethink costly BI licenses during economic downturns.
