ZipGo operates an app-based platform offering scheduled intra-city and inter-city bus services for individuals and corporates. The company began operations in 2015, starting intra-city services in Bengaluru, and currently runs routes in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. ZipGo plans to transition its fleet to 100% electric buses, expand fleet size and route networks, enter new cities, and grow operations in smaller cities such as Udaipur, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Mangalore, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam. Management also intends to launch electric rickshaws across multiple states over the next 12 months. Founders include Jitender Sharma, Gaurav Agarwal and Pritesh Gupta. Historical financing includes a USD 3 million seed from Orios Ventures (July 2015) and a USD 6 million Series A co-led by Ventureast and Omidyar Network (December 2016).
