ZipList combines a recipe search engine with a free shopping-list management service that syncs changes in real time across web, email, IM, text message, mobile web, iPhone and Android apps. The product lets family members add items via multiple channels and keeps lists up-to-date to reduce time spent planning meals and shopping. An SEC filing revealed the company raised a little over $2 million in the latest funding. An update to the filing says this round brings ZipList's total capital raised to $4.5 million. Named investors include SoftBank Capital, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and unnamed angel investors. CEO Geoff Allen previously founded Anystream, which was acquired by Telestream; a company spokesperson could not immediately detail investor identities or plans for the new capital.
