Overview
Zipmex is a Singapore-based digital asset exchange founded in 2018 that offers trading, earning accounts, and digital asset payment solutions. Its core products include two ZMT-backed earning accounts (flexible and fixed-term), merchant payment solutions, and consumer offerings such as a Visa-backed Zipmex Card and platforms like ZLaunch, ZipWorld, and ZipNFT. The company plans to use new capital to expand product offerings and its technical team to launch lending, payments, and securities solutions, and to run a marketing campaign via Plan B Media and MACO's out-of-home networks. Zipmex has pursued commercial partnerships, including a collaboration with Major Cineplex Group and RapidZ to enable movie ticket purchases with cryptocurrencies. It says it has acquired one million customers and processed over $4 billion in gross transaction volume, and has raised a total of US$52 million to date. Regulatory work is underway: the exchange expects approvals in Indonesia and Australia and is in advanced stages of seeking a Major Payment Institution licence from MAS in Singapore through its subsidiary. Zipmex is a digital-assets exchange headquartered in Singapore that provides a trading platform, ZipUp interest-bearing accounts, and its ERC-20 token ZMT. The exchange targets investors new to cryptocurrency with educational features as well as high‑net‑worth individuals. It is regulated in Singapore, Australia and Indonesia and licensed in Thailand, and launched at the end of 2019. Since launch the platform has transacted over $600 million in gross transaction volume. Zipmex aims to become the largest digital exchange in the Asia Pacific region and aspires to become a digital assets bank. Future product plans include rolling out payments, lending and investment into securitized tokens; the recent funding will be used for hiring and to add more product offerings, and total capital raised to date is $10.9 million.
