Overview
ZKSwap is a decentralized exchange protocol developed by L2Lab based on the ZKSpeed Practical ZK-Rollup solution. It launched mainnet on Feb. 16, 2021 and offers zero gas fees, an AMM model, and real-time transfers and swaps of ETH and ERC-20 tokens with 100 TPS. The project claims roughly 100x the capacity of Uniswap and roughly 1/100th of Ethereum Layer 1 gas fees. ZKSwap currently supports 30 tokens and plans to scale to 100 tokens via community voting. The protocol’s code was fully audited by ABDK, Certik, and SlowMist, and it previously launched a testnet in November 2020. The team plans to introduce liquidity mining and transaction mining initiatives to bootstrap activity on the DEX.
