Zlick LTD (Zlick.it) is an Estonian start-up that provides a frictionless payment system primarily for publishers across Europe. Its product enables consumers to pay a few cents for readings and videos online with a single button press, offering an easy, low-friction paywall. Zlick also supplies payment solutions for other internet environments such as online classifieds and small donations. Ekspress Group agreed to invest €750,000 into Zlick and has acted as the company’s first client and a partner for new developments. Ekspress Group reported that using Zlick multiplied their content sales and said users are willing to pay for quality content if the payment method is easy and smooth. The investor described the investment as a good opportunity to help Zlick enter the European market.
