Zo World, founded in 2020, is building a decentralized marketplace for global digital nomads that combines marketplace tools and a social layer where community members facilitate transactions and earn commissions. The platform takes commission on accommodation, travel, food, experiences and shopping, and uses WhatsApp and other marketplace tools for vendor communication. Zo World has licensed the Zostel brand and signed a global Master Franchise agreement with Zostel Hospitality, and launched in early October with a focus on starting operations in India. The Zo Travel platform is currently in beta for early users. The company recently secured a share subscription facility of up to €15 million tied to a future public listing and had earlier raised a small, undisclosed amount from angels and seed investors. Core product development and go‑to‑market efforts center on building the decentralized marketplace and expanding vendor partnerships across destinations.
