Overview
Chakratec develops a patented kinetic-battery energy storage system based on an innovative flywheel concept. Its kinetic battery provides virtually limitless deep charge and discharge cycles and a 20-year lifetime. The technology is positioned for applications such as solar fields, wind farms and other uses that require energy storage. The company was established in 2013 by co-founder and CEO Ilan Ben-David and is based in Lod, Israel. Chakratec raised $2M in a Series B funding round and plans to use the funds to complete beta testing with actual potential customers in Israel, Europe and China. It will also accelerate development and sales activities and is seeking partners and pilot projects in Europe.
