Zyomyx has developed MyT4, a quantitative, service-free point-of-care CD4 test that provides results in 10 minutes from a finger‑prick. The MyT4 delivers results equivalent to lab-based flow cytometry and received a CE Mark in December 2013; it is commercially available. The test requires no complex instrumentation or maintenance, lowering adoption costs versus instrument-based platforms and enabling decentralization of HIV testing. Zyomyx's platform technology aims to move laboratory tests for cells, proteins and infectious agents to the point of care, and the company is building an expanding pipeline including diagnostics for antibiotic resistance. To support commercial introduction and scale-up, Zyomyx received a US$7.5 million award from UNITAID to fund field evaluations, training for national HIV programs, and regulatory filings. The company is privately held and based in Fremont, California.
