Holidify operates an online portal and app that helps users discover offbeat travel destinations, using maps and comprehensive travel guides. The platform includes a recommendation engine that tailors results to a user's location. The company says it gets about 500,000 (5 lakh) unique monthly visitors and that its app has been downloaded over 10,000 times, reportedly making it the highest-rated travel app on the Play Store. Holidify was founded in 2014 by IIT Bombay alumni Rohit Shroff and Kovid Kapoor; prior to Holidify, Shroff worked at Indus Insights and Kapoor at Opera Solutions. The company will use the funds to strengthen its technology platform and expand its content base. It raised $100,000 in angel funding from the promoter family of Aarti Group with participation from Naman Sarawagi and angel investor Himanshu Sarawagi.
