Patex is the first blockchain ecosystem targeting Latin America, offering technical solutions, expertise, consultation, and bidding venues for launching, managing, and trading central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). Its ecosystem includes C-Patex Exchange, which has operated since 2014. The company is led by CEO Ricardo Da Ros and a team with senior experience in crypto, fintech, banking cybersecurity, financial crimes, and global strategy. Patex aims to drive CBDC adoption and to spearhead CBDC trading across the region's roughly 670 million people and $5.5 trillion GDP. Financially, Acura Capital purchased a 10% stake for $10 million, valuing Patex at $100 million.
